After starting early oil milling operations since the year 1966, This company was incorporated in the year 1971 and ever since has installed Solvent Plants and extracts oils from oilseeds and oil cakes. Almost 50% of its total turnover comprises of exports. The Company is continuously engaged in Research for improving its productivity and reduction in costs. The following is a year-wise list of various achievements. - In 1974, for the first time in the world, it successfully extracted oil from Mango Kernel (seed) and exploited this potential commercially. Presently it exports the entire production of mango Oil. - In 1979, it installed a Miscella refinery plant for the first time in India. This plant is utilised for neutralisation of raw oil of high FFA for getting excess recovery of oil, which was not possible, by other conventional methods, particularly Mango Fat. - In the year 1980-81, Company discovered new Tree borne oilseed in the forests of Karnataka, called as Dhupa Seed. Company processed the same and exported Dhupa oil to European countries and Japan. - In 1984-85, the company installed a fractionation system to produce value-added products from Sal Oil, mango Oil, and other similar fats. - In 1991-92, the Company installed another processing unit at Raipur, specifically to process Mango Seed and other Minor seeds like Mowrah, Nigerseed etc. under the Financial assistance of World Bank. - In the year 1994-95, Company imported Illepe Nuts for the first time into India from Indonesia and exported oil and meal to European countries. - In the year 1995-96, Company imported again for the first time Shea Nuts from West Africa, and exported Shea Oil to Japan. - In the year 1996-97, the Company set up Hexane Fractionation System First time once again to produce value added products and better quality stearines.
